Civil Hotline
The mission of www.stopchildporno.be is not limited to receive and to transfer reports to the Federal Police. It also serves other purposes such as:
- To inform users, explain the penalisation and the potential dangers of child pornography on the Internet;
- To instil a sense of responsibility in Internet users by awareness raising campaigns;
- To enable everyone to react via a civil hotline which guides users in their action and informs them of the results of the police investigations concerning their reports.
The Child Focus hotline allows users, if they elect to do so, to remain anonymous. The Child Focus staff is bound by professional secrecy.
The hotline is available 24 hours a day and 7 days a week to listen to concerned citizens who have been confronted with child pornographic material and have questions on this subject.
